Teamwork’ (làm việc theo nhóm) ngày càng trở thành kỹ năng phổ biến và có tác dụng nâng cao hiệu quả công việc. Việc thể hiện kỹ năng này cũng là yêu cầu thiết yếu với những bạn trẻ đang tìm việc làm.
Tầm quan trọng
Kỹ năng làm việc tập thể quan trọng và cần thiết trong hai trường hợp sau: thứ nhất, sản phẩm được sản xuất ra tốt hơn và hiệu quả hơn nhờ nỗ lực chung; thứ hai, sản phẩm bán ra cực kỳ phức tạp và đòi hỏi tính đa dạng của các kỹ năng lẫn khả năng mà một nhóm có thể mang lại.
Các kỹ năng then chốt
Kỹ năng làm việc nhóm quan trọng nhất chính là khả năng giao tiếp thuyết phục. Điều này bao gồm cả khả năng phát biểu thành thục, khéo léo và thẳng thắn lẫn khả năng tích cực lắng nghe với tư tưởng cởi mở.
Những kỹ năng hoặc đặc điểm khác về teamwork có liên quan với thành công của tập thể gồm gắn kết với nhóm, ra quyết định trên tinh thần khách quan và đúng nguyên tắc, tư duy thông minh và tỉ mỉ, khả năng hỗ trợ ý tưởng của đồng đội, tính khiêm tốn cùng nền tảng kiến thức vững chắc và quan trọng nhất là không sợ bị quy trách nhiệm.
Giao tiếp
Việc trở thành một thành viên ăn rơ với nhóm bắt đầu và kết thúc ở kỹ năng giao tiếp. Điều quan trọng là các thành viên có thể trao đổi cởi mở và thành thật về các ý tưởng, đề xuất cũng như những băn khoăn với nhau. Ngoài ra, lắng nghe chăm chú và đáp lại bằng thông tin phản hồi hữu ích cũng là yếu tố sống còn.
Gắn kết
Một kỹ năng thiết yếu khác là khả năng và mong muốn gắn kết với mục tiêu chung của nhóm. Tất cả những kỹ năng đồng đội khác đều vô dụng nếu tập thể đó thiếu sự gắn kết. Với tinh thần liên kết này, các thành viên sẽ sẵn lòng đảm nhận bất kì vai trò nào cần thiết để hoàn thành nhiệm vụ được giao, dù ở vị trí lãnh đạo hay thuộc cấp.
Ra quyết định
Ra quyết định có trách nhiệm và hiệu quả là yếu tố then chốt đối với kỹ năng làm việc nhóm, bởi hầu hết mâu thuẫn nội bộ đều nảy sinh trong quá trình ra quyết định. Những đội/nhóm mạnh luôn sở hữu các thành viên có khả năng ra quyết định khách quan sau khi cân nhắc và thảo luận kỹ càng.
Bên cạnh đó, trở ngại chính với việc hợp tác thường là cảm giác sợ bị quy trách nhiệm. Điều này xuất hiện khi cả nhóm đưa ra một quyết định tồi mà hầu hết thành viên sẽ không chọn nếu đứng trên phương diện cá nhân. Khả năng tư duy thông minh và cặn kẽ trước lúc quyết định việc gì đó một cách am tường lẫn khách quan cũng là yêu cầu cần thiết để trở thành thành viên đắc lực trong nhóm.
